Yallourn Power Station – PFAS Remediation
A historic fire-fighting training area at Yallourn Power Station required soil remediation to address PFAS contamination levels that exceeded acceptable ecological investigation standards.
Services Provided
- Review of previous environmental investigation findings
- Development of a technical specification aimed at removing approximately 90% of the PFAS contaminant mass in the soil
- Site setup and marking of the designated excavation area
- Excavation of contaminated materials from the identified remediation site
- Loading, treatment, and disposal of material at a landfill licensed to handle PFAS waste
- Refilling the excavated area to meet civil engineering requirements
