SEPA aims to deliver level crossing removal projects in a collaborative contracting environment that ensures value for money for the Victorian Government. SEPA has successfully completed seven level crossing removals across Melbourne, with five additional projects in the planning or delivery stages.
SERVICES PROVIDED
FSC has acted as the environmental advisor and consultant on six of SEPA’s completed projects and managed the procurement phase for SEPA’s current projects in Ringwood. FSC’s support encompassed all stages of planning and delivery, from TOC development through to project completion.
Additionally, FSC undertook soil classification for over 70,000m³ of soil across the main alignment and surrounding areas involved in road and infrastructure upgrades. FSC collaborated with SEPA to integrate existing data and carry out assessments around construction works, including preoccupancy baseline assessments and evaluations of ballast and ballast fines for potential reuse and disposal as per the recycled aggregate determination. FSC also conducted groundwater sampling to provide analytical data for a trade waste application, supporting safe disposal of groundwater during construction.
