Australian Navy Infrastructure – Osbourne Upgrade
The development works are part of the overall expansion and modernisation of the broader Osborne Naval Shipyard facility into a world-class, fully integrated shipbuilding hub for existing and future naval shipbuilding programs.
The Project Scope consisted of four packages:
1. Land-backed wharf extension.
2. Shiplift platform structural upgrade works.
3. Extension of the existing dry berth facility.
4. Capital dredging of the Wharf extension area and maintenance dredging to the Shiplift pocket.
FSC was engaged as the Environment and Sustainability Manager for the Project.
Services Provided
- The environmental management of the Capital Dredging works (~40,000m3) and EPA/PIRSA permit condition requirements.
- Engagement with multiple environmental and construction subcontractors.
- Sustainability management and NGERs reporting.
- Overall project close-out reporting.
