APA Plumpton – MLV Relocation
A road widening is planned at Taylors Road (as part of the ‘Taylors Road Corridor Upgrade Plan’) across the APA T062 Pipeline (Derrimut to Sunbury). The westbound carriageway clashed with the existing above ground MLV that required relocation.
Services Provided
- Site Establishment and Traffic Management - supply of site crib facilities, temp fencing, road barriers etc
- NDD proving of existing pipeline and surrounding services
- Mechanical excavation, benching and shielding
- Removal of Coal Tar Coating (asbestos management)
- Non-Destructive Testing of pipe
- In-service Welding
- Hot Tapping for stoppling of gas
- MLV relocation by cutting and welding the MLV and pipe section
- Blasting, re-coating and tape transitions – including above ground coating
- New cathodic protection and earthing
- Backfill, slabbing and site and re-instatement
- Survey AsBuilt
- Additional investigation and slabbing on the same and adjacent pipeline
