Albion and Ginifer Substation Projects
As part of the Sunbury Line Upgrade, electrical substations at Albion and Ginifer were constructed to provide essential power for bigger, more modern trains to run along the line — improving the capacity, reliability and frequency of services for passengers.
FSC worked on this project as a part of a Joint Venture with Carey Civil Contractors.
Services provided
- Site establishment, clearing, and grubbing
- CSR conduit installation
- FRP structural foundations (piles, slabs, retaining walls, capping beams)
- Light pole and structural footings
- Stormwater systems (RCP, kerbing, precast pits)
- Directional drilling and pipejacking under railways/roads
- Building services (sewer, water, stormwater, power, comms)
- Rigid/flexible pavements
- Architectural/high-security fencing
- Rail corridor works around live overheads/services
